Complete a science-backed strength and mobility assessment at home. No equipment needed.

Complete your strength + mobility workouts on non-running or easy run days.
Your workouts are updated and advanced each month based on your feedback and progress.
How the Program Works
Step 1: Assess & Simplify
Upon sign-up, you'll receive the link to complete a strength + mobility assessment.
This assessment takes 15-20 minutes and serves to simplify what you need to focus on each week.
You'll also fill out some key information about your goals and what's realistic for your schedule.
Dr. Matthews will review your testing data and information to ensure you have a simple, effective and science-backed plan to reach your goals.
Step 2: Strength & Consistency
After submitting your testing results, you'll receive your personalized workouts within 1 week.
Each exercise is hand-chosen for you to ensure it matches your body, your goals and your time constraints.
Each week, you'll receive the exercises to complete via an app, along with videos to follow to ensure proper form.
You'll focus on these exercises for 4 weeks, then it's time to update and submit your feedback (step 3!)
Step 3: Support & Progression
Each month, you'll receive a feedback form via email where you can:
Share your progress and any challenges
Ask specific questions about your program or exercises
Request modifications based on your needs
You'll receive personalized feedback and answers to your questions. Your workout program will be updated monthly based on this feedback to ensure continued progress.

Catalyst Strength Club is designed for runners of all levels. The exercises chosen for you are based on your strength, mobility and goals. Regardless if you’re running 1 mile or an ultramarathon - you’ll find the right level of challenge inside your workouts.

When you sign-up, you’ll share your weekly time constraints, and your workouts will be created around this. Members spend anywhere from 1-3 hours a week on their programs. A minimum of 1 hour per week is required to see results.

Every workout is customized based on your unique needs and goals utilizing the latest science and research around strength, prevention and longevity.
For example, while many online workouts will feel challenging - this doesn’t mean they are actually improving strength or reducing your injury risk as a runner.
In fact, the wrong type of workouts can actually leave you more susceptible to unnecessary pain, fatigue or injury. This is why having expert guidance can make all the difference.

Yes. Catalyst Strength Club is a monthly membership but you can cancel or pause anytime. No long term commitment is needed. For me, strength training is a part of being a healthy runner. I have been strength training regularly for 22 years.

It’s recommended that you have resistance bands and either dumbells or kettlebells to get the most out of the program.

Unlike generic programs with dozens of exercises, Catalyst Strength Club narrows your focus to only the most important 6-12 exercises for YOUR body each week. You'll never wonder what to do - just follow your custom plan, complete your monthly feedback, and let me handle the science and planning. Your exercises are delivered through a user-friendly app (included with your membership) available for iOS and Android. Each exercise includes a demonstration video, form cues, and the ability to track your progress. While you can leave comments in the app, please use the monthly feedback form for questions requiring responses.

The monthly feedback form is the primary way to receive guidance and program adjustments. For more frequent support, I offer a Premier tier with additional touchpoints and 1:1 coaching options.
